X-File Bullies: American Bully Breeder in Delaware

State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.

Hi, my name is K-Lynn Mohring. I am the owner of X-File Bullies, and our kennel is located in Delaware.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?

I breed American Bullies. What inspired me to get into this breed was when I was younger and first introduced to one. I instantly fell in love with the American Bullies’ mass, muscle, loyalty, and kindness. My second reason would be my passion for creating some of the best American Bullies, starting with their health, functionality, and structure.

What is your favorite bloodline?

So far, I’ve loved the Louis V bloodline in addition to Razor’s Edge.

In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?

I believe the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder include:

  • Being knowledgeable about the breed
  • Being a transparent breeder
  • Having contact with the new owners, even after a puppy has been sold
  • Having a love for breeding
  • And most importantly, to care about the welfare of all their animals

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?

Our dogs’ diets currently consist of dry dog food and raw.

How many times a day do you feed your dogs?

Our dogs eat twice a day.

How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?

We provide a variety of exercises, including hill climbing, fetching, jumping, and walking.

Walk us through the process of purchasing a pup from X-File Bullies from start to finish.

All of our available puppies will have up-to-date shots and dewormers. They also come with their ABKC registration papers, health checks, vaccination records, and come with their ears cropped.

In the process of purchasing a pup from us, you will:

  • Start by messaging us through Instagram, Facebook, on our website, emailing us at xfilebullies@gmail.com, or feel free to text and call us at 484.219.5800. Please include which pup you’re interested in and any questions you may have in your message.
  • After receiving your message, we will respond with a few follow-up questions and provide you with our Puppy Agreement Contract.
  • Once you have an opportunity to look over the contract and agree to the terms, we can arrange for payment.
  • We will reserve your puppy for you as soon as the payment method has been made. The website will reflect that your puppy is reserved as well.

*Note that you must make the full payment before the puppy can go home with you.

After the puppy is home with you, we like to keep in touch with each new owner to make sure everyone is settling in comfortably. We love getting pup-dates on our productions to see how they grow with their forever families, so please share pictures and videos of your new bestie.

Do you currently show any of your dogs?

Yes! We currently show one dog of ours, Venomline Souths Riot. He shows in the ABKC, is only 30 points, and is one major away from earning his champion title.

What advice does X-File Bullies have for any upcoming breeders?

Stick to your vision for your kennel, have a great mentor, do not listen to every single person telling you what’s right and wrong, do your own research, and last but not least, keep your mind on your own kennel. Do not worry about what the next person has in their yard. Remember, this is your program, not everyone else’s. Breeding is your dream, so stick to it!

What do you think is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?

Personally, I think kennel blindness is the most challenging thing for people to overcome. Which I believe holds your kennel back from its fullest potential.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?

If the breeder understands the flaws of their dogs, I think their kennel will reach its fullest potential. Because they know what their dog lacks, they can match that dog to another one to help fix those faults.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?

I look up to many people in the bully game. The first person I would have to say is Alisa Smith of Venomline South. She has always been available and happy to answer my questions and provide a lot of information to help me improve and understand breeding better. The second person I look up to is Angelina Henson of Rock Kalibur Bullys. Angelina is an excellent resource, very knowledgeable, and has helped point me in the right direction to better the breed and my kennel. Lastly, but not least, Marco Suarez of Suarez Bulls has always stuck to his vision for his kennel. Marco is an example of best practice breeding by breeding with correct and clean dogs. I look up to Marco greatly!

Tell us about one of X-File Bullies main goals for 2022.

One of our major goals for 2022 is to get one of our productions champed out and get a couple more foundation dogs champed out as well.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.

I would like for everyone to get along and help each other out instead of thinking everyone is competition. I believe the bully game would be so much better if we all came together.

What separates X-File Bullies from the competition?

We like to stick to our vision and not breed off of trends.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?

My other hobbies include dog show training, dog photography, fishing, and hunting.

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?

I personally love Bully Girl Magazine. I’ve read about some amazing breeders from Bully Girl Magazine that I really love. It’s great to see so many dogs and breeds that I care about being represented in a positive light!
