Hoggline TX | XL American Bully Breeder in Texas

Hoggline TX | XL American Bully Breeder in Texas

State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.

My name is Loren Sammon. My kennel is HoggLine TX, and it’s located in Austin, Texas.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?

We breed XL American Bullies. My inspiration is creating and striving to produce big, sound, healthy dogs that families enjoy.

What is your favorite bloodline?

My favorite bloodlines are Probulls, XB, and RBG.

In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?

A responsible dog breeder has a passion, love, and mutual respect for their animals. A big part of our program is vetting potential clients to ensure they have secure, safe homes for our puppies and our staff stays available for our past and current clients for support with their pup.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?

We rotate between high-quality kibble and raw.

How many times a day do you feed your dogs?

We feed the puppies (6 months and under) twice a day. The dogs that are older than six months are fed once a day. We also fast the older dogs once a week.

How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?

We are located on a large property and have space for dogs to run and play. We also enjoy taking them swimming.

Walk us through the process of purchasing a pup from Hoggline TX from start to finish.

The new litter information and prices will be listed on the website. Our purchasing process will help ensure that the puppies go to a forever home with a loving new family.

  • You can reach out to us via our website or Instagram.
  • When you contact HoggLineTX, we provide as much information as possible. As potential buyers, we will ask you a few questions to make sure our puppies are going to an appropriate home and fit your family's lifestyle.
  • Once a deposit is placed, we will send you a puppy deposit receipt.
  • A pick system chooses puppies, and if your pick is not born, we refund 100% of your deposit. When you pick the puppy, you will also get to decide if you’d like the puppy’s ears to be done or not.
  • Puppies will have health clearance vet checks and are available to go home at eight weeks old.
  • Upon pickup, you must sign a Puppy Contract, and both parties will receive a fully executed copy.

Do you currently show any of your dogs?

We do not show our dogs.

What advice does Hoggline TX have for any upcoming breeders?

Quality over quantity! Dog breeding takes 100% of your time to do it well and do it right. Also, always try to keep a stash of cash for emergencies.

What do you think is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?

It takes time and attention to properly take care of the dogs and raise a healthy litter. The dog’s general health and maintenance are important, so make sure you find reliable and reputable vets that know the breed and take care of them well.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?

You can overcome the obstacles by re-investing in the dogs with proper, safe, and clean setups and sharing knowledge of good practices.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?

Anyone that runs a clean, safe program and genuinely loves their bullys. I admire any kennel that treats its clients and business seriously—kennels like the Bully District and TruBulls, to name a couple.

Tell us about one of Hoggline TX main goals for 2022.

To expand and produce bigger, healthier dogs.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.

I would love to see love for the dogs and less drama surrounding the breeds—the more positive educated we can share and collaborate on, the better.

What separates Hoggline TX from the competition?

The size of our XLs, kennel setups, and excellent facility help my kennel stay competitive and maintain a safe environment for the dogs. In addition, our puppies and mothers get 24-hour attention and care from our kennel staff. This around the clock care keeps us involved, experienced, and available for new buyers, clients, and business inquires.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?

We have pet chameleons at home, which is a fun mix of pets.

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?

I appreciate Bully Girl Magazine giving shout-outs to all the hard-working females out there! Keep rocking it, ladies!
