State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.

My name is Chris Williams. I run and own District Bully Compound LLC. We are located in Washington DC.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?

We breed American bullies and French bulldogs. I was inspired by older family members. They kept Pit Bulls around their house, so I have always been around dogs my whole life. This inspired me to want to make a living out of bettering the American Bully Breed.

What is your favorite bloodline?

I don’t have one favorite reason. I understand why there’s different bloodlines, and I like the differences in each bloodline. However, I will say there are a few kennels that I highly respect because they help push the culture to a new level. For example: Bossy, MVP, BigBaller, TopDog, Primeyard, Probulls and a few more.

In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?

I like a bull with a big solid structured frame, more athletic than fat, with heavy bone. However, not too girthy. We want our bulls to be able to function at good speed, with endurance.

What type of diet does District Bully Compound LLC keep their dogs on throughout the year?

My dogs eat mostly a chicken and red meat diet, with Victor kibble. I also add liquid gold, as a high calorie dietary supplement.

How many times a day do you feed your dogs?

I free feed my dogs, depending on their eating habits, which switch during the season a lot. For the most part, normally 2 times a day.

How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?

We exercise our dogs and take them on long walks. We also walk them on nature trails through the woods, and allow them to swim in high waters.

Walk us through the process of purchasing a pup from District Bully Compound LLC from start to finish.

It’s a fairly easy process. 

• We don't accept any forms of payment until contracts are signed by both parties. 
• Once that’s done, you can send your deposit however you feel comfortable. 
• By then, you will have selected a puppy, and that pup would be taken off the market.

Do you currently show any of your dogs?

No, not at the moment. However, I do plan on getting into showing with my productions, and not productions that I’ve purchased.

What advice does District Bully Compound LLC have for any upcoming breeders?

If I had to give advice to an upcoming breeder, I would tell them to stay focused on a vision and game plan. Don’t get sidetracked. Most importantly, invest in yourself and your ideas. You only get out what you put in. Taking a shortcut is not going to help you. Short cuts hurt you in the long run in this game. Be honest and patient, and I think you’ll be ok.

What do you think is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?

I think the most difficult thing for people is to have their own vision for what they want to do. I think most people try to follow another person’s plan, structure or way of doing things.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?

I just always stay focused. I’ve never been a follower, so I might do a lot of things different, but I don’t mind being different. Just be confident and different, but know what you’re doing and what you're looking for,while you study and do research.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?

I wouldn’t say I look up to anyone. However,I do respect all who have helped out the bully community, which is growing rapidly all over the world.

Tell us about one of District Bully Compound LLC's main goals for 2021.

I just plan on making sure all my dogs are healthy and strong, buying land and growing my company.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.

That’s a good question. I don’t really think I ever really looked at it from that perspective. I hope the Bully Breed Community remains happy. I also want it to help to continue to feed people's families, while doing what we love.

What separates District Bully Compound LLC from the competition?

I don’t follow too many kennels to know what they’ve got going on. I’m different. People knew me before Instagram, for breeding Pit Bulls. So my transition was and is a little easy, because I can thrive without social media. I really was in my city selling dogs for almost 15 years.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?

I also own a clothing company called Everything Heavy LLC.

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?

I definitely appreciate the opportunity. Bully Girl Magazine is great, especially for bringing awareness to the females of the Bully World. I don’t think everybody knows, but females run the Bully World. Shoutout to all the ladies that help make the bully breed better. We thank you all.
