Diesel Bullyz Kennel: Pocket and XL American Bully Breeder in South Carolina

State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.

Hey, my name is Kanye Jackson. I’m one of the main breeders for DBK Diesel Bullyz Kennel, located in Greenville, South Carolina.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?

I breed American Bullys from pockets to XL. I’ve had mad love for these dogs growing up and just knew I wanted to grow up with them and better the breed.

In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?

I’ve seen many responsible dog breeders have a real passion for the dogs and are not just in it for the money.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?

I have to beef them up in the summertime and let them work it out with a raw diet. But in the winter, they have regular kibble.

How many times a day do you feed your dogs?

For my puppies, I will feed them 3x a day, and the adults are fed 2x a day.

How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?

You have to let dogs be dogs, so I don’t keep them inside. Instead, I let them run and work out with you if you do outdoor activities like running or hiking.

Walk us through the process of purchasing a pup from Diesel Bullyz Kennel from start to finish.

When you buy a pup from us, we make sure that you and your dog feel as comfortable as possible. As professionals, we don’t let puppies leave their moms until they are +8 weeks old or healthy enough to leave their mothers. You will also:

  • Be required to fill out contracts
  • Have an opportunity to speak and meet with staff if you have any follow-up questions

We want to ensure there is 100% understanding for both parties, so you and your pup leave happy.

Do you currently show any of your dogs?

I show off my tank (DBK BUDDHA). He is a star of the yard.

What advice does Diesel Bullyz Kennel have for any upcoming breeders?

You have to have a love for these dogs. The dogs will love you guys back and really shows they are your best friend.

What do you think is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?

It is being able to overcome the beginning work. You’ll be able to look back on your success later, as long as you put the work and time in the upfront. The bully game is never an overnight or a month’s long type of job, and it takes dedication and time in the process.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?

If I could hop on the game feeling as confident as I did, anyone can! It’s really about the love for dogs and how far you will go for them, the breed, and your business.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?

I will look up to anyone doing their best and can show proof of them bettering the breed. For example, I admire Bossy, Exquisite Bullys, 510 Bullies, and many others who take their work seriously.

Tell us about one of Diesel Bullyz Kennel main goals for 2022.

DBK’s goal is to let the community see my love for these dogs and give everyone the same opportunities to own and love the American Bully breed.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.

Ten years from now, I would love to have my brand be well known. I want my family, friends, and dog lovers to think of DBK first when looking for quality dogs.

What separates Diesel Bullyz Kennel from the competition?

There is no competition. I always look to doing business with other kennels. There is plenty of room for all of us to breed and love these dogs.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?

I am also a cultivator and plan to work with the cannabis industry in the future.

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?

You guys are amazing! Thank you for reaching out to me to share my kennel with the market and fellow bully lovers. I have a love and appreciation for Bully Girl Magazine. Thank you guys for keeping an eye out for good breeders.
