Defined Bullz: Pocket American Bully Breeder in the UK

Defined Bullz: Pocket American Bully Breeder in the UK

State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.

My name is Seyed Alavizadeh, CEO of Defined Bullz. You can find us in Southampton, United Kingdom.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?

We used to breed French bulldogs. This year we decided to change our breeding program, and started breeding American Pocket Bullies, as well as Extreme Pocket Bullies.

What inspired me to get involved with this breed was the quality in this breeds temperament, structure, physique and the muscular appearance of the pocket bully.

What is your favorite bloodline?

My favorite bloodline is Venomline, Louie V Line, Magoo, Razors Edge, Mystero, Wild Joker and of course the Original Bully the Dax/Gottiline.

In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?

A responsible breeder looks after his dogs and treats them like his own family. That’s why we call ourselves a Defined Bullz family, as we are a family unit here. Also, a responsible breeder strives to make the breed better, and is not all about making profits.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?

All our dogs at Defined Bullz are on a raw diet. This includes raw meat, vegetables, fruit, fish and tripe, with a mixture of Muscletones Raw Biscuit.

How many times a day do you feed your dogs?

We feed two times a day. Once in the morning, then a snack or treat at lunch time, and the last meal around 5pm.

How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?

We have training schedules in house to keep the dogs in shape, and to focus on certain muscle groups. The dogs are also taken out for an hour every day after their first meal.

Walk us through the process of purchasing a pup from Defined Bullz from start to finish.

First, we advertise the litter online showcasing the dam, sire and their pedigrees. This allows people to inquire and leave deposits for dogs before they are born, and some are reserved before we even advertise the breeding.

Once a deposit is made, the pup is reserved. If any pups are left over, pictures are taken and the pups are advertised on social media platforms with pictures. People then contact us and have the choice of coming and viewing the pup, dam or sire at our kennels. If happy with the pup, they can leave a deposit until collection, when the balance has to be cleared.

All pups come with a health check, microchip, ABKC paperwork and personalized Defined Bullz puppy pack. We are always at the other end of the phone for any of our customers, if they should ever need us for advice after the purchase of a pup.

Do you currently show any of your dogs?

No. We only started this year, and most shows have been cancelled due to Covid. However, we will be taking our dogs to the shows when they are back up and running.

What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?

Do it for the love, and to better the bully breed. Never give up!

What do you think is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?

The most difficult thing in the bully game is networking and marketing. People need to know what your kennels have to offer, and when your breeding will be taking place. Understand, if you are serious, it’s a lifestyle, not just a part time hobby. You have to put your heart and time in the dogs to make them the best they can be

How do you think they can overcome this thing?

This can be overcome with commitment, determination and having love for the breed and what you do.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?

The man who started it was Ed Shepard, with Daxline / Gottiline. Also from the states, Texasbullies with Venomline and Ryan Murdough from After-math with the Legend Ab Cliquot. These are the people I look up to in the USA, as they are pioneers of the game and have produced some amazing dogs from their bloodlines.

In the UK, it would be Prize Bullz, who owns the famous Cowboy. Prize Bullz gave me the opportunity to get into the pocket bully game, and gave me great advice and contacts. He is always there if I need help or advice.

Tell us about one of Defined Bullz main goals for the year 2021.

My main goal is to focus on the well-being of our dogs, as we will have 3 big litters dropping at the end of 2021. These will be some top quality pups, available for good homes. Also, I want to get our dogs involved with the shows as soon as they are back up and running.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.

I would love to see the bully community all working together to get the breed more recognition, especially in the UK.  I also would like to see the breed grow bigger and stronger over the next 10 years, with some new bloodlines from kennels around the globe.

What separates Defined Bullz from the competition?

We are a family orientated kennel, and the whole family has love for the bully breed. We put love and passion into our work, and people will see this from us in 2021. Big things are planned for next year.

Also, we have some exclusive bloodlines in our kennels, such as: Louie V Inbred Phenom, Muscletone Magoo, Razors Edge Demon Boy, ABKC Champion Inferno, Mr Europe, Mystero, Ab Clicquot, Samson, Gottiline Dax and many more. This gives us a variety in our breeding programs, and allows us to produce the best quality dogs.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?

Our family has a passion for music. My children play musical instruments and I can play the piano. I used to professionally DJ in the UK, for around 12 years before starting my family. I still DJ and play the piano as a hobby. Soccer is also another passion of mine, and I also enjoy traveling the world to see new things and meet new people.

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?

I think Bully Girl Magazine is one of the pioneers and organizations of the bully world. Bully Girl helps get people involved, getting the breed the recognition it deserves.

Bully Girl Magazine gives people in the bully game information on what’s going on, and provides a chance to network and work with each other globally, which benefits everyone.
