Mythic Bull Kennels: XL American Bully Breeder in Ohio
Share
State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.
I’m Chandra, owner of Mythic Bull Kennels. We are a new kennel located in central Ohio.
What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
Our main focus is producing show-quality XL American Bullies. I have always liked bigger dogs so when I saw the breed, I immediately fell in love! While our main goal for our program will be breeding for show, I know that not all our dogs will become champions, therefore our number one priority is producing dogs with amazing family-type temperament.
What is your favorite bloodline?
I’m new and am still learning the different bloodlines, but I find myself really liking the muscular but elegant looking XL bullies.
How many times a day do you feed your dogs?
At Mythic Bull Kennels, we feed our dogs twice a day: morning and night.
How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?
We enjoy working out with our dogs on the tether tug pole.
What advice does Mythic Bull Kennels have for any upcoming breeders?
One thing that I’ve realized is there’s two types of breeders in the bully game: the breeders who “breed their own vision”, and the breeders who are breeding towards a more consistent standard. I’m new myself, but my advice for newer people interested in getting into XLs is to find a few people to help mentor and teach you about the aspects of the breed before jumping in blindly.
Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
I've found many helpful people in this community! Shout out to QBN Raul for his amazing, educational YouTube videos, and to Danny Cervantes and Heather from Oily Drop Bullies for helping me understand more of the show ring scene!
Tell us about one of Mythic Bull Kennels main goals for 2022.
Our main focus in 2022 will be putting our foundation girl, Lady, in a few shows, along with producing our first litter!
Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.
I really hope that in the next few years we can have a more consistent “look” and more dogs with better structure for this breed.
What does Mythic Bull Kennels think of Bully Girl Magazine?
Bully Girl Magazine is doing a great job of putting the spotlight on individual kennels and programs, and I’m glad we got chosen to be a part of it!
