Hard2See Bullies | American Bully Breeder in Virginia

State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.

My name is Sean Hardisty, of Hard2See Bullies. We are located in Virginia.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?

I breed mainly Standard, Classic, and XL American Bullies. Recently I purchased my first foundation pocket male in hopes of starting my own pocket line. I’ve always had dogs. I started out with chow chows, then it went to APBT, and then I just fell in love with the American Bully the first time I saw one.

What is your favorite bloodline?

My favorite bloodline is Razors Edge.

In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?

Responsible breeders make sure they can put out the best, healthy product possible. They also pride themselves on finding the right homes for the right dogs.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?

I feed all of my dogs Diamond Natural Skin and Coat.

How many times a day do you feed your dogs?

I free feed all my dogs, and it seems to work very well for me.

How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?

I don’t do crates or kennels, and the dogs have 24 hour access to the yard.

Do you currently show any of your dogs?

I have shown dogs in the past. With my work schedule, it’s very hard to get out to shows as much as I would like.

What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?

Find yourself a mentor you can trust. Stick to your game plan and remember there’s no cheat code to producing quality dogs.

What do you think is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?

The bashing and negativity.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?

Take what others say with a grain of salt, and continue to push forward without losing focus of your game plan.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?

There’s a few that I look up to:

  • Zullou kennels
  • Nova Bully Syndicate
  • OBX Bullies

Tell us about one of your main goals for 2021

My main goal is to add a few more pockets to the program, so late 2022  / early 2023 I can work on my new pocket line.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.

Just an overall more solid dog, with a set of standards that everyone goes by.

What separates your kennel from the competition?

We are family operated. We don’t have any outside dogs. All of our dogs live with us as family. When picking homes for our pups, it’s never about the money. It's about who will care for said pup the best. We would rather sell a $1000.00 dog to a family, than sell it for $5000.00 to a breeder.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?

I love to photograph dogs, watch football and just spend time with my wife and kids.

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?

I think Bully Girl has a great platform with a lot of useful information. It is great to see amazing dogs and up and coming breeders you may not have known about.

Man, where has this man GONE! 1 minute he’s breeder of the year next minute he’s MIA

The games misses you. You helped so many people

Tray

They say a lot of bad because this man doesn’t sugar coat, ride others, or tell you what you want to hear. But when it comes to being solid and staying true to himself and his yard. There really is no denying he does just that
